On 18 October 2017, Dean Professor Wang Yong, together with his postgraduate students, visited Zhejiang Yuexin University of Foreign Languages and delivered a lecture on 'West Lake in East Asian Countries', in which the emotional attachment bonds between West Lake and intellectuals in Japan, Korea, Ryukyu and Vietnam were introduced through the poetic prose in these countries . Dean Professor Wang Yong quoted poet Lin Bu ( 968 AD -1028 AD) in Song Dynasty as an example to illustrate it. He also pointed out the close relationship among Lin Bu, Choson and Ryukyu. Through these examples, we can easily understand the influence of West Lake on the talents and elites in East Asian countries. 

Political and economic relations may disappear in the long river of history. However, cultural relations will be handed from age to age. Dean Professor Wang Yong quoted the famous saying 'Asia is one' from the first page of OKAJURA Kakuzo's book The Ideal of the East for closing this impressive lecture.
