On 11 November 2017, Dean Professor WANG Yong, Professor CHEN Xiaofa and research assistant Mr XIE Yong attended the Forum on Harmonious Culture of Tiantai Mountain, which was held in Tiantai, Zhejiang. The motif of this year was "preference for co-operation and universal great harmony".  More than two hundred Buddhist dignitaries and scholars from Hong Kong, United States, Japan, Korea and Thailand gathered to explore the meaning of Buddhism and its value in today's world. In Japan, Taitain school is known as Tendai-shu and in Korea, it is known as Cheontae. With the central role of the Lotus Sutra in its teachings, Tiantai school promotes universal great harmony and the wisdom which understands the phenomenal differences and the Buddha wisdom.

Addressing theme of "Guoqing Temple in East Asian Countries", Dean Professor Wang Yong presented his research findings of Buddhist civilization in East Asia.He took this chance to discuss academic co-operation with the representatives of Tiantai Mountain Cultural Studies Association and Taizhou University.
