On 27 April 2016, under the sponsorship of One Asia Foundation, Mr Xu Qi-Xin (徐启新), the Vice-Chairman of China The Society of Sino-Japanese Relations History (中国中日关系史学会)and a famous professional journalist representing China Youth News and Wen Hui Bao in Tokyo for more than one decade, presented a seminar on Chinese Elements in Japanese Culture to IEAS professors and students.Well-researched, comprehensive, informative, useful and interesting, Mr Xu vividly explained the influence of Chinese cultural elements on Japanese culture in terms of Japanese systematic selectivity and expansibility of Confucianism, Chinese characters,production technology and religions. Mr Xu's topic-oriented approach made the whole seminar more than a thought-provoking academic lecture, but also an interesting and enjoyable two hours for IEAS professors and students.
