On 2 July 2016, in the annual conference of Chinese Association for Japan Studies, Professor WANG Yong of IEAS declared the publication of five volumes of Li Dai Yi Ben Zhuang Kao Zhu ( 历代正史日本传考注Glossary Explanations and Bibliographic Annotations of Japan in Official Chinese Dynastic History). The dynastic breakdown of these five volumes is as follows:

Han-Wei-Liangjin-Nanbeicha, Sui and Tang, Song and Yuan, Ming, and Qing

Taking the latest research findings in China and overseas into consideration, the main characteristic of this set of five volumes is integrating all seventeen chapters of Japan in official Chinese dynastic history for systematic multi-disciplinary in-depth analysis, professional glossary explanations and bibliographic annotations. This set of indispensable primary research data for Japanese studies had been included in the National Editing and Publication of Ancient Books Project 2011-2012(国家古籍整理出版规划2011-2012).
