Professor Ezra F.
Vogel
Honorary Dean
Professor Ezra F. Vogel is
globally famous for his outstanding academic achievements in East Asian
studies. Since 4 July 2016, Professor Ezra F. Vogel has been the Honorary Dean
of Institute of East Asian Studies of Zhejiang Gongshang University. Professor
Vogel is the Henry Ford II Professor of the Social Sciences Emeritus at Harvard.
From 1972 to 1977, he succeeded John Fairbank to become the Director of East
Asian Research Center of Harvard University. In 1977, he became the Chairman of
the Council for East Asian Studies of the same university. In the late 1990s,
he had been the Director of Harvard’s Fairbank Center and the first Director of
the Asia Center. In 2001, Professor Vogel served as Co-director of the Asia
Foundation Task Force on East Asian Policy Recommendations for the New
Administration.
